Current Vacancies

Bar Supervisor (P/T)

We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable mixologist to join Cabinet Rooms and help shape the future of our cocktail menu. The ideal candidate will have at least one one year’s experience supervising a team. Our Bar Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining standards and ensuring our guests receive consistently good drinks. A creative flair and passion for flavour-making will be required to help keep the Cabinet Rooms offering fresh and exciting. Above all, you’ll have excellent customer service skills and be able to engage with customers eager to know more about what they’re drinking.

Barista skills are not required but are definitely a bonus as we operate as a café-bar.

THE ROLE

  • Make and serve cocktails to agreed specifications
  • Work with management to develop new drinks
  • Lead on staff training
  • Assist with stock control and ordering
  • Assist customers with choosing drinks
  • Maintain a tidy and clean bar
  • Supervising cleaning at the end of the night
  • Ensure open/close checklists are completed
  • Supervise bar back duties
  • Assist with serving tables and some minor food prep as required
  • Ensure bar is fully prepped for evening shifts
  • Work within food hygiene and health and safety rules
  • Promoting Cabinet Rooms positively and appropriately

HOURS

  • 3-4 Evenings to include Friday and Saturday evening
  • 25-35 hours a week
  • This role is not suitable for anyone who is unable to work during university holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £8.00 to £8.75 /hour

Barista (P/T)

Are you a barista looking for a great opportunity to develop professionally and take a leading role in a small but friendly team? The ideal candidate will have at least one one year’s experience making exceptional coffee. Our Barista will be responsible for maintaining standards and ensuring our guests receive consistently good drinks. A real passion for coffee will help us deliver the high standards our customers expect in order to be among the best in Winchester. You’ll be responsible for dialling in regularly, liaising with our hot drinks suppliers and serving top notch coffee every single time.

We’re a small team so you’ll also be involved in preparing and delivering a small food menu from our little kitchen. You’ll have a love of food — especially of local produce — and get excited about the food we offer.

Above all, you’ll have excellent customer service skills and be able to engage with customers eager to know more about what they’re eating and drinking.

Bartending skills are not required but are definitely a bonus as we operate as a café-bar. Cocktail training will be available to anyone wishing to learn new skills.
