The Book Group
After a successful first ‘season’ of the Cabinet Rooms Book Group, we are absolutely thrilled to announce our new 2018/19 programme.
Our Book Group has been designed, with the invaluable support of local author, Claire Fuller, to provide avid readers and writing enthusiasts with an opportunity to meet published authors in the flesh and discuss books that the authors have either written or been influenced by.
The Book Group Format
The Book Group meets once a month, usually on a Tuesday at 7.30pm. Every other month an author visits to read from their latest work and discuss their craft. They then introduce the book they have selected for us to read the following month.
The Cabinet Rooms Book Group is a relaxed affair. Guests do not have to attend every session and can dip in and out as they please. Reading a book every two months is more achievable for many and having the titles selected for us by the authors does make life easier for everyone too!
People come with friends or on their own. The Book Group is open to all! Discussion groups are free and the Meet the Author sessions cost £5 to attend. Group sizes are kept small to encourage lively debate and so sessions do fill up quickly. We therefore recommend reserving your space soon!
